Rangers' Hagelin Named All-Star Rookie Replacement

According to Josh Rimer, Rangers rookie Carl Hagelin has been added to the Rookies in the 2012 NHL All-Star weekend as an injury replacement.  No official announcement on who he is replacing, but Devils' defenseman Adam Larsson appears to be the player.

Tremendous work by Hagelin to play his way into this opportunity. Hagelin has eight goals and eight assists in 29 games for the Rangers this season, but the numbers do not reflect the full impact he has had on the roster.  His speed has added a different dimension to the Rangers roster and expect Hagelin to be showcasing it in the fastest skater competition, which he should win.
