Rangers Sign Andre Deveaux

The New York Rangers reached an agreement with minor league tough guy Andre Deveaux on a contract for the 2011-12 season.  Deveaux is 6'4" and 232 lbs and has been fighter in the AHL for a number of years but showed some offense last year when he tallied 23 goals and 23 assists for the Chicago Wolves.  While his offense improved, his penalty minutes remained with 194 on the campaign.  Expect Deveaux to fill the minor league enforcer role that Justin Soryal filled before leaving this summer.
