Practice News: Rozsival Injury Update (Knee?); Girardi Unibrow

Not a whole lot out of practice today as the lines were the same as the last game, though no definitive answer on whether Boogaard will play tonight against the Bruins.  If I had to guess I would say yes and White goes back to the press box, but we should know for sure at 5ish.  When asked by about it Andrew Gross reports Boogaard replied, "Ask Torts or Glen," while smiling.  I think that the idea of Boogaard smiling can be a very scary thing to witness.

On Michal Rozsival, Steve Zipay, is reporting that he will not make the two game trip the Rangers have on Friday and Saturday, which is not totally surprising.  The confusing thing about the Zipay tweet linked is that he asserts that Rozi is working to strengthen his knee when it was his shoulder that has been reported as the source of his missing action.  I have asked for clarification is there is to be some and will let you know if I hear back about it.

In other news Dan Girardi took 7 stitches to the bridge of the nose from Monday's puck to the face incident.  I am somewhat surprised with the amount of blood that it was not more stitches, but Girardi is aware of how lucky he is to have been hit where he was and not a couple inches to either side, though he isn't thrilled about the unibrow look he now sports.  Andrew Gross has quotes from Girardi on the situation.

On a side note concerning Girardi I hope the fact that he got smashed in the face by the puck, took his stitches and came back only missing one shift can put to bed the notion that he is soft which is only out there at all because of the Gaborik incident in Philly last season.  For all those who bashed him mercilessly after that lets hope they give him the same level of credit and respect for his toughness in helping pull out that game in Pittsburgh.

Pregame at 1, lineups after 5 if changes.
